Cam is the result of boosting different areas of some distribution enterprises and mergers among companies pertaining to the Group Enersis, its origins go back to Sociedad Distribuidora de Productos Eléctricos S.A. (Diprel S.A.), constituted in November 16th, 1988, in order to direct entrepreneurial management in the electric services area.

Cam’s nowadays structure mainly comes from different electric services rendered since then, where the most important one is that related to calibration and meters repairing. The incorporation of new professionals and technicians allowed a radical change in the work culture, where new important objectives were set out, establishing the basis of Cam’s today’s values.
On October 9th, 2001, Diprell S.A. was transformed into a limited corporation and was given the name of Compañía Americana de Multiservicios Uno Limitada (former Ingeniería e Inmobiliaria Manso de Velasco S.A.) to boost and consolidate its presence and competitive capacity, in Chile as well as in other Latin American countries. But before that, the company underwent an important consolidation and growth period, accompanied by operations’ expansions in Latin America.
This Millennium arrived with new and important challenges. Once consolidated as Cam, the company assumed the dare of keeping its growth. Led by a new management which started in October 2006, it set out the challenge to reach new markets and new clients and for that purpose it was necessary to arrange the company. Thus, three business lines -Metering and Energy Efficiency; Commercialization and Logistics; Electric Works- has been defined. Besides, an ambitious strategic plan was established, which mainly included development in mining, construction, and other distribution and generation enterprises.
Thus, Cam assumes the challenge to capture its vision of becoming a “reference in integrated, innovative and high-quality standard electrical solutions for big and medium-size Latin American companies”.
