Works include assembly and provision of materials, electric, mechanic and hydraulic equipments.

Cam’s Chilean subsidiary was awarded the execution of modernization works of five hydroelectric power stations of Endesa: Abanico, Cipreses, Sauzal, Sauzalito and Los Molles.

Works to be started in April 2010 will be carried out through Retrofitting, which considers the renovation of control and the automation of hydroelectric power stations, achieving greater operative efficiency and a complete adjustment to the new demands of the electric system CDEC-SIC.

Due to the fact that some of the 5 stations are too old and have been operating for more than 50 years, these modernization works should guarantee the quality of frequency and stability regulation. On the other hand, they should reduce the costs of operation and failures index.

Retrofitting should be carried out in a term of 22 months in cooperation with the Brasilian Company Reivax S/A, regional leader in control, protection and supervision systems of electric generation stations, with whom Cam has a productive alliance.
